In the afternoon of June 28, celebrating the 50th anniversary of world famous violin concerto “Butterfly lovers”, the BizLounge of MBAConcert Fine Arts Foundation invited renowned composer Mr. Chen Gang to give a lecture concert to over 70 business executives and music lovers at the club lounge of Shanghai Sheraton Pudong Hotel. Mr. Chen shared his stories of “Rose and Butterfly” and his life covered last century. “Rose” represents Chen Gexin, Mr. Chen Gang’s father, famous composer at early 20th century. His song “Rose Rose, I love you” was a great hit in China and USA. “Butterfly” represents the famous violin concerto “Butterfly Lovers” which Mr. Chen Gang was one of the two composers. The lecture concert was hosted by Mr. Edmund Chow, Chairman of MBAConcert Fine Arts Foundation, and well received by audiences. During the Q&A and networking sessions, guests expressed their great appreciation for this music event, it was fun and interesting.
Soprano Zhao Yiyi from Shanghai Opera House as guest performer sang several songs from repertory of Chen Gexin.
