Evening of October 27, 2009, nearly 300 Chinese and foreign guests gathered at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Pudong Shanghai to participate in the Austrian IRISHsteirisch Concert, co-organized by the MBAConcert and the Crowne Plaza Hotel Pudong Shanghai. Exquisite luxury cocktail party and expensive prize drawings were also part of this event. Attendees were the Crowne Plaza Hotel Pudong Shanghai’s General Manager Anna Stackler and MBAConcert’s CEO Edmund Chow, the Consulate General of Austria in Shanghai Director of Culture Pamela Lorenz, plus two organizers’ guests.
Event started at 6pm, the guests engaged in conversations while enjoyed fine buffet food and drinks. 7pm sharp, guests enters Grand Ballroom, where they were seated at tables with beautiful flowers and delicious deserts. Before the concert began, Crowne Plaza Pudong Shanghai’s General Manager Anna Stackler gave a warm welcome. Followed by everyone’s enthusiastic applause, Austria's famous IRISHsteirisch band debuted. IRISHsteirisch was invited to come to Shanghai to attend the Shanghai International Arts Festival. Their flourishing and vigorous music fused Austrian folk music with Irish music, allowing international traditional music influences including Austrian, Irish and Romanian music. Majority of the guests cannot help but clap along with the beat of the music. Many people waved the multicolored light sticks and sang along with the musicians on the stage, leading the evening to its climax.
There were a variety of interesting prizes selected for this event: vouchers for free dining at five-star hotels, vouchers for free accommodation at luxury hotels in worldwide popular tourist cities, iPod Touch music players, Canon digital cameras and HP notebook computers.
After the event, guests expressed strong positive feedbacks to the organizers of this concert, and especially hoping the MBAConcert will continue to bring more music and art programs to everyone.
